Daily Routines, Practical Help & Coping Tools

Public·9 members

I’d love to see other people’s “systems” because I’m drowning a little.

My dog, Luna, is 9 and has heart disease plus she gets occasional fainting episodes (vet thinks it’s related). I’m in that place where I’m constantly thinking, “Did I give the pill? Did she pee? Is she breathing weird?” and it’s making me forget actual normal life tasks.

Show me your set-up - what in your home makes daily care easier? Like physical set-ups AND brain-saving hacks.

Right now the only things keeping me afloat are:

- Meds in a weekly organizer

- Phone alarms (but I have so many alarms I don’t even trust myself anymore)

These are all Luna's 🥺

Human Sick Days?

I’m having one of those days where I feel like I’m failing at everything. I woke up with a nasty stomach bug and my dog still woke up like, “Good morning, let’s do our whole routine!” 😩

I live alone and my dog (Mabel, 10, Cushing’s + arthritis) can’t just skip everything. She’s on meds twice a day and she gets antsy if we don’t at least do a short sniff walk.

What’s your “human sick day” plan? Like actual realistic steps - not the ideal version. Do you do crate/safe room time without feeling like a monster?

And if you live alone, who is your backup - and how did you set that up?
